The SPACES Project

Welcome to the SPACES project—Smart Parking Accessibility and Compliance Enhancement System. SPACES is designed to revolutionize urban parking by making it more accessible and efficient for everyone, especially disabled drivers. Our goal is to enhance parking management through innovative technology, ensuring that designated parking spaces are used appropriately and are easily accessible to those who need them most.

Discover More About the SPACES Project

SPACES aims to improve urban parking management by integrating advanced technologies such as GNSS, sensors, and AI. Our objectives include ensuring accessible parking for disabled drivers, reducing unauthorized use of designated spaces, and providing real-time data to enhance enforcement and urban planning. By co-designing with key stakeholders, including disabled drivers and municipal authorities, we are committed to creating a solution that meets the needs of all users.

Our primary users are disabled drivers who face daily challenges in finding accessible parking. We also serve municipal authorities and private parking operators who need efficient tools to monitor and manage parking spaces. SPACES is designed to meet the unique needs of these groups by providing real-time parking availability, ensuring compliance with parking regulations, and offering valuable data for decision-making and urban planning.

The SPACES service integrates smart parking cards, ground sensors, and a user-friendly mobile app to create a comprehensive parking management solution. Disabled drivers can easily find and access available parking spaces, while municipal authorities can monitor usage in real-time and generate detailed reports. The service is scalable and can be integrated into existing infrastructure, making it adaptable to various urban environments.
